Hint: The nature of your soul hasn’t changed. But knowledge about it sure has, ever since the Shift into the Age of Awakening.

What Could Be NEW about Your Soul NOW?

Let’s suppose that I were to ask you, “What is your soul?”

In case it would make a difference for your answer, hello! I, the asker, am not an official member of today’s Enlightenment Establishment. That means, anybody with mainstream clout as an authority — in religion, psychology, every possible field for using your full potential in life.

Wonderful though the Enlightenment Establishment, in my view, many in today’s Enlightenment Establishment do what? They carrying forward ideas that were developed before the Shift into the Age of Awakening — which gently shook up what thoughtful people could know about just about anything.

Suppose, then, that my curiosity-question to you, “What is your soul?” aimed to find out what you, personally, think your soul is. When answering, you’re not being tested. Nor will you be judged about what your soul HAS to be, supposedly. I do have some knowledge to share. That will be yours to try on for size.

Incidentally, knowledge of your soul need not involve religion.

Not unless you prefer that.

What Then? What IS Your Soul?

Very likely, you would find an answer to tell me. (At least if you trusted me to learn something that personal about you.)

In Part 1, “Love Your Soul,” we’ve explored these very Age of Awakening ideas about your own, personal soul:

Between incarnations you live as an eternal soul, with a unique individuality.
Right now, you’re an incarnated soul, a unique human lifetime within your bigger eternal individuality.
Ever since the Shift into the Age of Awakening, each human receives help from your Soul Expression Support.

This trio of concepts was not available before the Age of Awakening.

What’s So Age of Awakening about This Knowledge?

Living now you can insist on knowledge that strengthens your direct experience. For instance:

Your body feels comfortable with this knowledge.
It resonates; it sounds true.
Or/and when you look around you, after learning that knowledge, things look right to you. Such as a subtle brightness that’sabout added to the colors of whatever is in the room with you.

Oh yes, caring about your direct experience is so very Age of Awakening. Remember, we’re living in the second consciousness era for humanity. In contrast to the Age of Faith, the first consciousness era for humanity. Together, let’s continue to explore what this means for everyday life.

Your Soul Knowledge in the Age of Awakening #4.

Here’s One Way to Tell the Diff

Throughout the Age of Faith an authority was in charge of a person’s most sacred knowledge. The kind of leader changed over the centuries and millennia. Early on, your fearless leader might have been your witch doctor, your shaman, or the leader of your tribe.

Skipping forward over time, how about 100 years before the Shift? Landing now between Dec. 21, 1912 and Dec. 21, 2012. Who would have been in charge of sacred knowledge? Who was it for you?

A psychologist or psychiatrist.
A priest, minister, rabbi, guru, imam, or seminar leader.
Perhaps a politician, or the leader of your favorite social cause.
An inspiring doctor or acupuncturist, a brilliant massage therapist or chiropractor.
Your most trusted expert at mind-body-spirit.
A favorite psychic or channeler or intuitive.
A crazy-popular actor or singer. Even a celebrity who was famous just for being famous. Your “American Idol,” etc.

Again, go ahead and COMMENT with one or more sources of wisdom for you in the years before Dec. 21, 2012.

While you’re at it, how did that person strengthen you inwardly? (Maybe seeming ultra-credible to your soul, at that time in your life.)

Your Soul Knowledge in the Age of Awakening #5.

Now for an Important Follow-Up Question

Think of your best teacher for personal development before the Shift on Dec. 21, 2012:

What was one teaching about your soul that mattered greatly to you? Sure, go ahead and share a personal example.

To Jump-Start Your Recognition, Here’s an Example about Sam

I’ll give the example of Hypothetical Sam, who was in therapy for many years before the Shift. His therapist, Gladys, taught him many things. Most important was this:

Sam’s biggest takeaway from therapy was something he used whenever felt upset about one of his patterns. Or he felt stuck in life. For instance, Sam couldn’t stop living off credit card debt.

Instead of beating himself up, when that scary bill came, guess what? Thanks to Therapist Gladys, Sam would boost his self-esteem by telling himself:

“I’m still living off credit card debt. But that’s ok.”

This unfortunate kind of example is hardly rare. Just now, on my Google, 6.75 MILLION hits for But that’s ok.

So much comfort, so much self-acceptance for Sam. Through that spiritual-seeming affirmation of his inner goodness, “But that’s ok.”

Blog-Buddies, do you use that phrase? Has it brought you waves of compassion and self-love?

And how do YOU react when somebody like Sam describes a problem. Then changes his expression and, with a knowing look, Sam says in a different tone of voice from his usual: “But that’s ok.”

For Sam, as for many of us, your most influential teachers before the Shift may have taught you plenty. But NOTHING about your own soul.

Couldn’t that be a reason why you may never have thought much about your soul lately? How odd, that personal development may have taught you NOTHING about your own soul!

Your Soul Knowledge in the Age of Awakening #6.

Used to Be, We Had Faith in Somebody Else’s Wisdom

By contrast, since the start of the Age of Awakening, many subtle changes have happened. Consciousness-unfolding changes. Such as what you can read about at the link just provided.

How did you think of your soul, during the Age of Faith? Can you remember back 13 years ago, or longer? No need to COMMENT with this, since your answer might be quite personal. But here’s something you might like to answer in public:

Regarding your oldest relatives, can you recall whose wisdom about SOUL mattered most to them? Were they quiet about that or evangelizing or what?

Whereas Now, Deep Wisdom Demands Experience

Personal experience. Direct experience.

To illustrate, I’ll start to share my personal experience. (More is coming in the next post of this series.) Meanwhile, even this much might set you thinking about your different experiences of SOUL:

One kind of Soul knowledge before the Shift.
And another kind of Soul knowledge in the Age of Awakening.

My Soul Knowledge in the Age of Awakening #8.

Before the Shift, My Soul Knowledge Came from 3 Teachers

During the years before the Shift, I had three most important spiritual teachers:

Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, whom I served for 16 years as one of his teachers of Transcendental Meditation (TM).
Dianne Sonne, later Tantra Maat, who put together her own teaching, based on work as a psychic. She was wise and generous. And a woman!
Bill Bauman, Ph.D., a former Catholic priest and, later, a former Science of Mind Minister. While I studied with him, he lived in Traditional Enlightenment; later his consciousness lifestyle changed.

As a point of information, for reasons you can ask about if you really want to, I no longer recommend any of these three teachers (or people they trained). However, back in the day, all of them helped me enormously.

Which Soul Knowledge Came from My Teachers?

Absolutely nothing. Although Maharishi, Dianne, and Bill helped me greatly, did they ever even utter the word “soul” in their lectures or workshops?

Not that I recall.

My Teachings about Soul Came through the Media

Maybe you can remember this too, prior to the Shift. Possibly, to this day, depending upon which media you prefer.

I remember hearing dire religious warnings, as part of mainstream culture, given to me concerning my soul. Like listening to Christian radio stations while driving (because there wasn’t much else on the radio to hear when I lived in Springfield, Illinois).

Soul definitely came up then, as in warnings like, “Avoid psychics at all costs. Otherwise, your soul will go to Hell.”

What I Learned about Soul from Direct Experience

I have so much more to tell you about this, Blog-Buddies. May it inspire you!

Here’s one key idea for a preview: In our third installment of this series, wowee! You just might learn that my breakthrough knowledge of soul has come mainly from facilitating Energy Spirituality ENERGY HEALING. That’s going to deserve an article in itself.

Meanwhile, how about you? By now in your life, is the word “soul” a pleasantly vague abstraction to you? Or something more?

In this Part 2 article of our series, I didn’t flash you out. I didn’t tell you MUST HAVE knowledge about the right way to experience your soul, now that we’re all in the Age of Awakening. Along the lines of, you must believe this new teaching or else you’ll be damned to Hell for all eternity.

Instead, you’ve had a chance to think about your own expectations. Because maybe it’s time to declutter your personal closet-of-knowledge about your soul.

Will it serve you to keep around obsolete ideas? As if that would keep you safer!
How about holding onto ideas with small truth value? Just in case???????

Meaning no disrespect, Age of Faith teachings about your soul are not good for you anymore. No more than if you aim to eat a “garden fresh salad” that was harvested in the year 1025.

Not if you aim to benefit from knowledge more suitable for this second consciousness era on Earth!

Like how you can’t gain much benefit from some excellent new shoes . . . if you insist on first covering your feet with some down-at-heel shoes from 13 years ago, or longer. Wearing two pairs of shoes at one time — piggy-backing them — won’t help you to walk forward in life!
