Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. had a dream. I have a purpose, and that’s good enough for me.
Was this a quiet July 4th for you? It was for me. I long for the days when America comes back: Recognizable and warm-hearted, generous and inclusive.
Let’s help make that happen, Blog Buddies. We may have to play a long game, and along the way we’ll surely endure much that is humbling, but we can keep the faith about this. And this kind of faith can slowly work human-sized miracles.
My Thoughts on America, July 4, 2025
In particular I will do my part to help America come back better — with our caste system of racism broken, and people just being people to each other, not stereotypes.
I aim for America to come back better with full rights for women, vanquishing the demeaning pressures of the Anorexic Ideal.
I yearn for our teachers and children to find values worth living for, not being an “influencer” when they grow up but accomplishing something worthwhile.
Let’s do what we can for the American Experiment to succeed. Bringing liberty and justice for all.
I stand believing.
