God Is Ever Fresh. New Experiences Available to You in the Age of Awakening
Inspiration galore from our Australian Blog-Buddy, THEODORE!
How “God Is Ever Fresh” Came to You, the Backstory
Originally, THEODORE submitted what follows as a series of comments. Yet I found it uncommonly inspiring.
And for all this, nature is never spent;
There lives the dearest freshness deep down things;
God IS Ever Fresh Now. And Why Might that Be?
One reason involves direct experience. Since experience of the Divine is being rediscovered today by many folks in the consciousness lifestyle of Age of Awakening Enlightenment.
As well as re-discoveries made by others who aren’t yet in that consciousness lifestyle. 🙂
The theme for today’s guest post was expressed by THEODORE in one of our recent email conversations:
With the newness of this Age of Awakening, surprise!
The freshness of the Divine is available to humans again.
Now, here come THEODORE’S words. Headings and links supplied by this Blog Monitor, along with very minor changes to shorten some sentences. (Many of you are reading these words on your phones!)
Please know that when you COMMENT here, either THEODORE or I — or both of us — may respond.
God Is Ever Fresh NOW — Whatever Our Previous Pain
Rose, thank you for sharing your experiences of that time which I didn’t get to see – as well as your contrasting experience of the New Age years.
I am still looking forward to hearing more about the Great World Gurus, if you still have time and inclination 🙂
Thank you for the detailed explanations related to Consciousness Lifestyles in your Comments #101-121!
Unlike the Gnawing Feeling
I’d like to make a refinement, if I may, to what I expressed earlier in comments here.
Looking back, I don’t believe I meant to express that spirituality *felt* stale to me – but rather, that I believed there was something in a more external sense that was actually stale.
But I only really experienced that belief for a long time as a gnawing feeling, until recently – something I couldn’t articulate.
Having had the opportunity to study some authentic traditions, with amazing teachers, I certainly found those *new to me* learnings genuinely thrilling – these learning experiences did not *feel* stale to me.
However, it also became, for me, hard to completely ignore a kind of undercurrent to those experiences.
An Undercurrent — Opposite to the Freshness of God
Learning and becoming part of traditions that were so rooted in antiquity – how can I describe it? A combination of things, perhaps:
1. That these practices and traditions were developed in such a drastically different time, and context.
Developed by such radically different humans (at the time, I had no idea just how different humans were, even just 70 years ago compared to now, let alone hundreds or even thousands of years ago);
2. That, being irrevocably divorced by time from the original context and experience of these traditions, I felt cut off from a potential deeper understanding of them. An understanding that I believed earlier custodians of these traditions could have had access to, and;
3. That (and I think this was the hardest pill for me to swallow) I felt like the original instances of *access to genuine Spiritual Source* that allowed these (and many other spiritual & religious traditions) to originate in the first place . . . .
This access was so far in the past – so far behind us, and only receding further in my vision as time went on.
That there was no *sensible*, trustworthy prospect of another such event on the horizon – an event of genuine access to that kind of real Divine inspiration in my lifetime. So that a genuine-article but *modern* learning could unfold for those of us living now.
Yet in the Age of Awakening, Again, God Is Ever Fresh
It’s the third that I am conversely most excited about, and that I think inspires me most about Energy Spirituality – the prospect of having genuine-article access to learning from the Divine again – the way I knew we had previously had access to as a species, on a few noteworthy and special occasions in the past.
To me, the sense of freshness is only secondarily about how it *feels* to me, but the knowing that *real fresh learning* direct from the Divine is now back in our lives again, as a species – and in a richer abundance than ever before. Available to far more people than ever were able to access it in the past.
